About Jane

Jane Lawler has 30 years Marketing and Business development experience, working in large corporations, investor funded enterprises and family owned businesses at all levels from junior management up to Main Board Director.

Beginning her career in a science-based research and development role, Jane has a forensic approach to solving business challenges and routinely relies on analysing business data to drive evidence-based decisions when faced with business problems. Jane developed her business and marketing skills in the 1990s through Cranfield School of Management, Henley Management College, Irish Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Marketing

Jane has run customer services teams, technical and regulatory development departments, international new product development groups and conceived and successfully launched online business in both business to business and business to consumer sectors

Jane’s most notable achievements have been in the creation and development of consumer brands for retail distribution in both the UK and across Europe. She has an unrivalled knowledge in the UK garden supply industry and has worked closely with retailers in the sector.

She has driven the brand and corporate marketing for some high profile businesses in the garden and leisure market sector where she ran sizeable teams and managed significant budgets. But she’s also used to applying her large business principles to much smaller enterprises who often benefit most from a disciplined approach to market planning.

Jane is a past chair of Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA) and sits on the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) Garden Industry Marketing Board (GIMB).

I continue to develop and grow home and garden brands in the UK. Visit the case studies  page to see how I have helped some household brands, as well as newcomers to the market.
